Glenn G SchanelGlenn G Schanel founded the firm in 1994, and has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 25 years and is licensed to practice in both Florida and New Jersey. After attaining an undergraduate degree in accounting, he earned an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Glenn began his career at a “Big 8″ international accounting firm, where he performed audits of publicly traded companies. He then spent over 15 years as a finance executive, both as CFO and COO in the commercial banking industry.
In addition to being a CPA, Glenn is also a Certified Financial Planner ® and a Certified Valuation Analyst, and is a licensed Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with AIG Financial Advisors. Glenn has served as a Director for Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches, the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, and the Kiwanis Club of Riveria Beach Foundation. He is also a faculty member at Palm Beach Atlantic College where he currently teaches finance, accounting and investment courses.
Todd SchanelMr. Todd Schanel, CPA, CFP®, CFA specializes in comprehensive financial planning, portfolio management and tax planning and preparation. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Schanel is both a CFA charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner® and manages the firm’s financial planning and investment management affiliate, Schanel Financial Associates, LLC.
Todd holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia (2003), and a B.A. in Economics with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1997). His previous professional experience includes four years as a Senior Consultant/Consultant with KPMG LLP and KPMG Consulting, Inc. in Washington DC, where he specialized in providing financial analysis, economic modeling and transaction advisory services for clients in the financial services and mortgage finance arena.
Todd is a member of the CFA Society of South Florida, the Financial Planning Association, and the Young Professionals of the North Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Schanel resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with his wife Pamela Schanel and two children Michael and Grace.
Laurie AlbertLaurie Albert is the firm’s Director of Sales and Marketing. She has over twenty years of Sales, Marketing and Management experience in the following industries: Payroll and Accounting, Restaurants, Retail, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Data Processing and various service industries. She also has sixteen years of Senior Management experience. Laurie was recognized by Inc. Magazine, in the year 2000, for building a private company that placed number 236 in the nation for fastest five year revenue growth. Prior to that, she built a successful telecommunications company in Atlanta. She has been invited to speak at various functions on the topics of sales, networking, training and managing a sales force, productivity and customer relationship management. Laurie has always been a client advocate, making sure that the customer’s needs are always met, timely and effectively.
Tija Walkover has worked with Glenn G Schanel, CPA and Associates for over 10 years, and manages the firm’s Business Accounting Services. Ms. Walkover specializes in corporate accounting and payroll tax preparation. She is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and has extensive experience with various accounting software packages. Ms. Walkover holds a degree in Quantitative Management from the University of Florida. Prior to coming to the firm, Ms. Walkover spent 6 years in the commercial lending arena, including 5 years at Flagler National Bank in West Palm Beach, FL where she was a Loan Review Officer.
Bob Tracy has been a Certified Public Account for 15 years, and specializes in corporate accounting and tax preparation and planning. Prior to that, Mr. Tracy spent 17 years in commercial lending. Mr. Tracy holds undergraduate degrees in Finance and Accounting, and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Jodi joined the firm in early 2007. She specializes in business accounting services and payroll tax preparation and has over 15 years of experience working for CPA firms.
Lin Haller has been our firm’s office manager since October 2007. She is often the first person clients see when they arrive at our office or hear when they contact our office by phone.
